Handmade mug, thrown on a potters wheel with a pulled handle. The dark color comes from a slip made of red clay and ilmenite, a local iron/titanium mineral. A clear glaze is applied on top, creating good depth and colors ranging from rusty red, grey, and black. Comfortable to hold, sturdy without being weighty, as well as microwave and dishwasher safe. Each mug holds approximately 12oz.
