Coco coir brick details Compressed weight: 12 kg Expanded volume: approximately 4.5 cu. ft., depending on hydration and handling Material: processed coconut coir or coco peat Uses: growing-medium component, seed starting, containers, raised beds, and composting Hydration and usePlace the block in a container large enough for expansion and add water gradually. Break apart softened material as it hydrates. Coco coir contributes aeration and moisture retention, but it is not a complete fertilizer. Adjust the potting mix, irrigation, and fertility program to the crop and test results. Rinsing or buffering needs vary by product and intended use, so follow the package and product documents. Organic use: Product records identify OMRI listing and CDFA registration. Confirm current status and your certifier’s requirements before use.
