Coco-Ghee (7.5oz)

Coco-Ghee™ is a blend of organic Virgin Coconut Oil and organic Cultured Ghee made from grass-fed cows. Crafted using a traditional Ayurvedic method, cultured ghee is made by churning fermented cream, resulting in a rich, beneficial fat with the advantages of beneficial bacteria from the fermentation process. Coco-Ghee™ is USDA-Certified Organic and human-grade.  We source our milk from grass-fed cows, whose milk is naturally rich in essential vitamins A, D, and K, as well as conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), a potent antioxidant and essential fatty acid. Grass-fed cultured ghee offers a healthier balance of omega-6 to omega-3 fats, with a ratio of around 3:1, compared to over 20:1 in grain-fed animals.   How Coco-Ghee is Different     Coco-Ghee uses organic cultured ghee, made from non-homogenized whole milk from grass-fed cows. Cultured ghee is a form of fermented clarified butter, which offers a range of nutritional benefits that can contribute significantly to your pet's health:  Vitamins and Minerals: Cultured ghee is rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K, all of which are essential for various bodily functions. Vitamin A supports eye health and immune function, while vitamin D aids in calcium absorption and bone health. Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant, and vitamin K is crucial for blood clotting and bone metabolism.  Butyric Acid: This short-chain fatty acid is known for its anti-inflammatory properties and its role in maintaining gut health.  Gut Microbiome Benefits: During the fermentation process, beneficial lactic acid bacteria multiplies, breaking down and removing lactose. Milk proteins, casein is hydrolyzed and broken down into smaller more easily digested peptides. Cultured ghee contributes to the gut microbiome.  Lower Lactose & Casein: The fermentation process reduces the lactose (milk sugar) and casein (milk protein) content, making cultured ghee a better option for individuals with lactose intolerance or dairy allergies.  Batch tested for gluten and lactose: Our cultured ghee is batch-tested gluten-free, lactose batch-tested to contain no more than 0.25% casein and whey batch-tested to be 2.5 ppm or less. Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA): Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) has been studied for its potential health benefits including supporting weight management and heart health.  Long shelf life: Ghee has a longer shelf life compared to butter because the clarification process removes water and milk solids, which can cause spoilage.    Benefits:    Mixing virgin coconut oil with cultured ghee creates a powerful blend that enhances energy levels and metabolism, thanks to the MCTs from coconut oil and the butyric acid from ghee. This combination improves digestive health through the probiotics in cultured ghee and the antimicrobial properties of coconut oil.     Both fats offer anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits, reducing inflammation and supporting a healthy immune response. Additionally, the healthy fats in both oils enhance the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins and other nutrients, providing a broader spectrum of nutritional benefits.     Together, these two fats are easily metabolized and form a powerful, nutritious blend that supports overall health and well-being:    Anti-inflammatory effects: helps reduce inflammation in the body  Antioxidant properties: helps combat oxidative stress; rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K, all of which are essential for various bodily functions  Digestive health: The butyric acid, in ghee, a short-chain fatty acid, supports the health of the intestinal lining. As the primary source of energy for cells in the colon, butyric acid promotes the growth of beneficial gut bacteria, improving a healthy gut microbiome, and preventing digestive issues.  Digestive enzyme stimulation: Stimulates the production of gastric acids, aiding in the digestive process and helping to break down food more efficiently  Heart health and cellular health: Fermenting cream into ghee converts linoleic acid into conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) Which helps to support heart health. Studies have shown that CLA may play a role in preventing cancer cell formation, and alleviating inflammation.  Brain health: exhibits neuroprotective properties and could potentially play a role in cognitive function    Recommended for dogs and cats with:  Inflammation  Gut microbiome deficiencies  Allergies and poor skin & coat health  Nutrient malabsorption  GI issues related to gut inflammation  Cognitive disorders  Digestive enzyme deficiencies  Senior pets    Recommended amount to give: Administer orally, 2-3x per day with food.
