Cobra OPTM Max D Driver

The First Drivers to Optimize POI for Straighter Miss-Hits Until now, MOI has been the primary metric used to define club stability and forgiveness. Cobra is the first brand to introduce and optimize a lesser-known but equally important measurement: POI (Point of Inertia). POI measures how the clubhead rotates across all three axes during off-center impacts— horizontal (MOI Y), vertical (MOI X), and toe-up or toe-down (MOI Z). OPTM drivers are the first to optimize both MOI and POI through advanced shaping and strategic weight placement, significantly reducing gear effect and delivering up to 23% tighter dispersion for longer, straighter mishits. Own the Fairway with Improved Draw-Bias Performance Cobra took its most draw-biased driver and enhanced it with a heel-biased center of gravity and reduced POI to create the most stable draw-biased driver to date. By perfectly balancing high MOI, low POI, and heel-side CG positioning, the OPTM MAX-D driver delivers exceptional forgiveness and improved accuracy through maximum draw bias for effective slice correction. A low-to-mid spin profile combined with unmatched stability inspires confidence to swing freely, maximize distance, and eliminate your miss. Reshaped for Forgiveness To optimize both MOI and POI, mass is distributed more symmetrically around the center of gravity and across all three key axes. Weight is tightened closer to the CG to minimize diagonal resistance to rotation during impact. Using A.I.-driven simulation tools, Cobra engineers analyzed millions of impact locations to gain a deep understanding of gear effect and determine the ideal placement of internal mass and weighting in each driver model. FutureFit33™ Adjustable Hosel FutureFit33™ offers 33 unique loft and lie combinations to optimize ball flight, reduce miss tendencies, and maximize distance. Loft and lie can be adjusted by ±2 degrees in any direction for precise, personalized fitting. The innovative SMARTPAD® design ensures the face angle remains square at address, regardless of hosel setting. Draw-Bias Tuned Weighting The OPTM MAX-D driver features a fixed 11g heel weight that shifts the center of gravity closer to the hosel. This promotes easier launch and helps the clubface close more easily through impact, producing a confident, draw-biased ball flight. H.O.T. Face Technology A forged face insert powered by H.O.T. Face Technology increases face flex to generate faster ball speeds and consistent distance across the center and surrounding areas of the face.
