A Modernized, Multi-Role Variant of a French Legend In the mid-1970s, Dassault Aviation began development of a new fighter aircraft intended to replace earlier designs within the Mirage family. Drawing upon the experience gained during the design of the Mirage III and Mirage 5 models, engineers created an entirely new airframe known as the Mirage 2000. The aircraft retained the distinctive delta wing configuration, which was further refined through the implementation of a computerized fly-by-wire control system. The Mirage 2000 prototype made its maiden flight on March 10, 1978, and in 1984, the first squadron entered operational service. The Mirage 2000-5 is a thoroughly modernized multi-role variant, equipped with the RDY radar, capable of employing MICA IR/RF missiles and featuring the advanced Thales Topsight helmet-mounted display. Modernized units destined for France received the designation 2000-5F; for years, aircraft of this variant constituted a vital component of the French Air Force's combat capabilities. This brick model faithfully captures the essence of this modern variant, combining the dynamic silhouette of the delta wing with intricate details that will be appreciated by both aviation enthusiasts and model collectors alike. The Mirage 2000-5F stands as a symbol of modern engineering ingenuity and the evolution of French combat aviation. This brick model allows you to recreate one of the most recognizable European aircraft of the late 20th century in a format that blends a passion for history with the satisfying experience of brick building. 494 high-quality elements Manufactured in the EU by a company with over 35 years of tradition Compliant with safety standards for children's products Fully compatible with other brands of construction blocks Clear and intuitive instructions based on illustrations and step-by-step instructions Scale 1:48 Model dimensions (L x W x H): 305 x 210 x 115 mm Height on stand: 150 mm
