Coating Puck Applicator

Paste waxes, solid coating pucks, and thick sealants require a different applicator than liquid products — one that can pick up product from a solid or semi-solid form and work it into the paint surface with even pressure and consistent coverage. The Coating Puck Applicator is purpose-built for this task, with a dense foam construction and ergonomic puck shape that fits naturally in the palm of your hand for maximum control and comfort during application. At Chicago Jax Wax, we use the Coating Puck Applicator with paste waxes, graphene paste wax, and any solid or semi-solid protection product that requires hand application. The puck shape distributes pressure evenly across the foam face, preventing the uneven application and swirl-inducing pressure points that flat applicators can cause on curved panels. What It's Built For Paste waxes — picks up and applies paste wax evenly without over-loading or under-applying Solid & semi-solid coating products — works product off the surface of solid puck-style coatings Thick sealants & protectants — handles heavier-bodied products that liquid applicators struggle with Any hand-applied protection product — versatile enough for waxes, sealants, and dressings Key Features Ergonomic puck shape — fits naturally in the palm for comfortable, controlled application Dense foam construction — distributes pressure evenly across the panel surface Even product pickup — works product off solid and paste forms without gouging or over-loading Washable & reusable — rinses clean between uses for long-term performance How to Use Load the applicator by pressing it firmly against the surface of the paste wax or coating puck and rotating slightly to pick up product Apply to the paint surface using light, overlapping circular or straight-line strokes Work one panel at a time, applying a thin, even coat Allow to haze per the product's instructions, then buff off with a clean microfiber towel Rinse the applicator with warm water after use and allow to air dry Pro tip: Don't press too hard when loading product from a paste wax — a light touch picks up just the right amount. Too much pressure loads the applicator unevenly and leads to thick spots that are harder to buff off cleanly.
