oval weave - red swedish dishcloth

my mother swears by these dishcloths, she loves them. she buys them as gifts, uses them in our kitchen, and can't stop buying more for their beautiful and homey motifs. you'll buy them for how colorful and novel they are, but you'll fall in love the first time you use one. invented by a swedish engineer in 1949, dishcloths of this kind are widely used in scandinavia. made of a 70% cellulose and 30% cotton natural fiber blend and printed with water-based inks, they are fully biodegradable and compostable. rigid when dry and soft when wet, these dishcloths absorb 15 times their weight in water, making them great for cleaning up spills, hand washing, or drying. an ideal reusable replacement for paper towels, they clean surfaces streak-free and are more sanitary than sponges because they dry more quickly. their beautiful decoration and seeming novelty give any kitchen a touch of that peculiarly scandinavian blend of design and function. very popular as gifts! cleaning: machine wash, no bleach, air dry flat.  dimensions:  6 3/4" x 8 7/8"
