Clyde May's 9 Year Old Cask Strength Rye

Clyde May’s 9 Year Old Cask Strength Rye is a profound expression of American rye whiskey, representing the pinnacle of craftsmanship and tradition for which Clyde May’s is celebrated. Aged for nine years and bottled at cask strength, this rye whiskey offers a robust and unfiltered drinking experience that captures the full flavor and complexity developed over nearly a decade of aging. This exceptional rye is characterized by its rich, spicy profile that is typical of the rye grain, yet it is complemented by a remarkable depth and smoothness that only extended aging can provide. The high proof of the cask strength bottling ensures that each sip delivers intense flavors, from bold rye spice and black pepper to subtle notes of vanilla, oak, and caramel, all harmonizing to create a complex and satisfying palate experience. Clyde May’s 9 Year Old Cask Strength Rye stands out not only for its quality but also for its authenticity. It pays homage to Clyde May himself, a legendary Alabama moonshiner who became famous for his high standards and pioneering spirit. This rye whiskey reflects his legacy — a commitment to excellence and a passion for distilling that transcends the ordinary.
