ClutchMax introduces solid flywheel conversion clutch system for Audi and VW with 1.8L Turbo. This system provides 30% increase in horsepower and torque holding capacity with excellent drivability characteristics. Proprietary HD pressure plate provides a more consistent pedal feel, clean release and smoother load transfers between shifting engagements even at 10,000 RPM. Full face sprung hub disc replaces factory rigid hub disc for smooth clutch feel while reducing drivetrain shock. One piece solid 4140 chromoly lightweight forged steel flywheel is CNC machined and balanced within 0.100 oz for smooth operation and fast response at all RPM range. What's included in a complete clutch and flywheel bundle set: 1 each brand new Solid Chromoly Lightweight Flywheel (44% weight reduction for ideal balance of performance and daily driving) 1 each brand new HD Pressure Plate 1 each brand new Woven Organic Sprung Disc (9" x 15/16" x 23 spline) 1 each brand new High-Temp HD Release Bearing 6 each brand new Flywheel Mounting Bolts 1 each brand new Clutch Alignment Tool Clutch Installation Guide Note: Clutch and flywheel must be used together as a set without reusing any existing components Solid Flywheel Upgrade Unit:  A stock clutch set up on modern Audis and VWs uses a dual mass flywheel. Dual mass flywheels are generally heavy and leave a lot to be desired in terms of performance and durability under both street and track driving. One of the easiest ways to change the driving characteristics is to delete the dual mass flywheel and replace it with solid flywheel that is significantly lighter. Combination of lightweight solid flywheel, smooth full face sprung hub disc and reinforced pressure plate provides quicker engine response and better feeling clutch. Solid flywheel upgrade clutch unit has proven result of 50% longer lifespan and enhanced driving experience. Proudly engineered and built in the U.S.A. VEHICLE APPLICATION Fits 1997 - 2005 Audi A4; A4 Quattro (1.8L DOHC 4cyl Turbo; B5/B6) Fits 1998 - 2005 Volkswagen Passat (1.8L DOHC 4cyl Turbo; B5/B6) Note: Replaces heavy and inconsistent factory dual mass flywheel with one piece solid chromoly flywheel for vastly improved feel and performance.
