Cloudspire: Shada

Cloudspire: Shada – Faction Expansion expands the tactical fantasy world of Cloudspire with a new asymmetric faction built for 1–4 players. Designed for Chip Theory Games' acclaimed tower-defense and strategy system, Shada introduces fresh units, new strategic puzzles, and entirely different approaches to lane combat, hero management, and battlefield control. Fans of Cloudspire love discovering factions that force them to rethink the game, and Shada does exactly that—delivering a highly replayable expansion packed with difficult choices and distinctive tactical identity. The Storm Does Not Ask Permission Classification: A heavy fantasy strategy expansion for hobby gamers who enjoy asymmetric powers, tactical combat, solo play, and deeply thinky decision spaces. One of Cloudspire's biggest strengths has always been how dramatically each faction changes the game. Shada doesn't feel like adding a few new units—it feels like learning a whole new language for the battlefield. Every lane becomes a question. Every deployment becomes a commitment. The tension comes from seeing several turns ahead while knowing your opponent is doing exactly the same thing. Timing upgrades, reading movement patterns, and predicting lane pressure creates the kind of strategic push-and-pull Cloudspire players crave. If you've spent time with Cloudspire already, this expansion offers that exciting moment where familiar systems suddenly feel new again. Experienced players know the feeling: the first game where a faction finally clicks and an entirely different strategy opens up. How the Game Works Shada integrates directly into Cloudspire and adds a fully playable faction complete with unique units, heroes, and faction mechanics. Players deploy troops into lanes, defend key positions, upgrade abilities, and adapt to an evolving battlefield. Cloudspire blends tower defense concepts with tactical combat, area control, and scenario-based strategy. Every deployment decision matters, and mastering a faction often takes multiple plays. Shada offers fresh tactical tools and strategic priorities that reward experimentation and long-term mastery.
