Climb Strong - The Drill Manual

Skill development is fundamental to progression in climbing. Too often, we focus on building stamina, physical strength, or power, when just learning to move better is the simple—and long lasting—solution. In this book, veteran coaches Alex Bridgewater and Steve Bechtel outline nearly 30 drills for improved climbing. For each drill, they suggest regressions and progressions to implement as climbers progress. In this book, they outline when to train skills, how often, and how many to tackle at once. Developing better movement is fundamental to climbing better. Using this manual, climbers of all abilities can learn specific drills to aid in their practice. More importantly, they can learn how to apply simple progressions to any drill they choose, and to be more intentional in their climbing practice.
