This stone was historically revered in the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt, and throughout the ancient world. It was employed in sacred adornments, jewelry, statues, and as pigment for makeup and for paintings depicting the sky and sea. Treasured for thousands of years for its vibrant color and healing qualities, Lapis Lazuli is known as a stone of truth. It fortifies integrity, deepens communication, and fosters harmony in friendships and love.   Lapis Lazuli was associated with many goddesses and queens throughout the ancient world, but perhaps most especially in Egypt. This particular piece is named for Cleopatra, the mythically beautiful Macedonian Queen of Egypt, who astutely navigated the convergence of her kingdom with Rome. Cleopatra adorned herself with Lapis Lazuli jewelry and used finely crushed lapis as eyeliner, captivating the affections of Julius Caesar and Mark Antony.   This delicate yet magical ring is crafted in a solid silver setting, making an elegant statement fit for a goddess.
