Specifications Brand: Clearview Part Number: CVDB005 Installation & Operation Tips For Swimming Pool Use: Engineered to suppress bacteria and algae in swimming pool water. Introduce directly into the pool during active circulation. Each ounce contributes approximately 0.4 ppm of chlorine per 10,000 gallons. Entry into the pool is prohibited when chlorine levels are above 4 ppm. How to Use: Apply during evening hours while the filter system is operational. Scatter the granules evenly, directing the majority toward the deepest portion of the pool. Consume the full container contents once the seal is broken. Brush any settled granules to promote complete dispersal. Start-Up: Make certain the filtration system is clean and in working order. Set pH between 7.2-7.6 and establish alkalinity at a minimum of 125 ppm. Apply enough product to elevate free chlorine to 5-6 ppm. As a benchmark, 10 ounces per 10,000 gallons yields a 4 ppm chlorine lift. Shock Treatment: Administer during times of heavy pool traffic, hot weather conditions, or following rainfall. Use 14 ounces per 10,000 gallons to produce a 6 ppm chlorine increase. Swimming should not resume until chlorine tests below 4 ppm. Maintenance: Add daily or on an as-needed basis to hold chlorine between 1-3 ppm. Five ounces per 10,000 gallons delivers a 2 ppm chlorine bump. Sustain pH at 7.2-7.6 and alkalinity at 125 ppm for best results.
