Specifications Brand: Clearview Part Number: CVDB010 Installation & Operation Tips For Swimming Pool Use: This treatment targets bacteria and algae in swimming pool water. Introduce directly into water while it circulates. Each ounce delivers roughly 0.4 ppm of chlorine per 10,000 gallons. Swimming is not permitted when chlorine readings exceed 4 ppm. How to Use: Apply during the evening hours with the filtration system running. Spread evenly, concentrating distribution over the deepest section. Once opened, use the entire package contents. Should any granules settle on the pool floor, brush them to aid dissolution. Start-Up: Confirm that the filtration equipment is clean and functioning properly. Bring pH into the 7.2-7.6 range and alkalinity to a minimum of 125 ppm. Dose sufficiently to achieve a free chlorine reading of 5-6 ppm. As a guideline, 10 ounces per 10,000 gallons produces a 4 ppm chlorine increase. Shock Treatment: Perform shock treatments during periods of intensive pool use, elevated temperatures, or following rainstorms. Apply 14 ounces per 10,000 gallons to achieve a 6 ppm chlorine elevation. Wait until chlorine drops below 4 ppm before allowing swimmers to enter. Maintenance: Apply on a daily basis or as conditions require to sustain a 1-3 ppm chlorine residual. Five ounces per 10,000 gallons produces a 2 ppm chlorine rise. Maintain pH between 7.2-7.6 and alkalinity at 125 ppm.
