We machine, assemble, and inspect every hub in our Petaluma, California facility. As a result, the Desert Sage CLD+ delivers smooth performance, lasting durability, and premium American craftsmanship. For more than 30 years, White Industries has refined its hub designs through real-world riding and continuous innovation. Today, the CLD+ continues that legacy with simple engineering, dependable performance, and long-lasting reliability. Designed for modern Boost-spaced frames, the CLD+ features the Shimano Center Lock disc rotor interface for fast rotor installation and dependable braking performance. Its lightweight construction makes it an excellent choice for fast gravel bikes. Meanwhile, its rugged design is built to handle aggressive trail riding and demanding mountain bike adventures. At the center of the hub is a heat-treated black-oxide 4130 steel axle with lightweight aluminum axle ends. Four premium Enduro sealed cartridge bearings support the hub. Two bearings ride inside the 6061-T6 aluminum hub shell, while two more support the 6Al-4V titanium freehub body. Together, they deliver smooth rolling performance, efficient power transfer, and years of dependable service.
