Clay Belles On-Demand Online Workshop

Learn to make your own one-of-a-kind, hand-pinched ceramic bells! In this live, hands-on class, Diana will guide you through every step of the process—teaching you how to shape, decorate, and assemble your own handmade clay bells. Saturday, June 21st 10:00 am- 12:00pm PST You’ll learn:    Techniques for forming bell bodies     How to craft beads and clappers to complement your bells     Simple surface decoration using carving and texture     Stringing techniques to create balance and a pleasing sound This workshop is beginner-friendly and packed with practical skills you can use in your studio or at home. What’s Included: Live Zoom workshop (2 hours) Digital download with a materials list (sent after registration) Zoom link sent 3 days before the class Recording access — a link to the edited recording will be emailed a few days after the event  Closed caption available during the session 1 year access to the recording FAQ's Will this be a live workshop? Yes! The class will be held live via Zoom. Will I be able to ask questions? Absolutely. Diana will have a moderator assisting her during the session to read and relay your questions from the chat. While not every question may be answered in real-time, we’ll do our best to address them all. I can’t make it live. Can I still take the workshop? Yes! A recording of the live session will be emailed to you a few days after the event. You’ll have 1 year access to the video. Will I receive a materials list? Yes. A digital download with a complete materials list will be sent to you upon registration. Will Diana share her glazes? Diana will not be sharing her signature glazes, but she will offer glaze recommendations for experimentation. What kind of clay will Diana be using? Diana will use a mid-fire ceramic clay that requires firing in a kiln to harden. Do I need a kiln? You don’t need a kiln to participate in the class, but your bell components will need to be fired in a kiln if you'd like to string and finish them. Is this a beginner-friendly class? Yes! The techniques covered are basic handbuilding methods suitable for all skill levels. Can I work along during the workshop? You’re welcome to, but Diana recommends watching the class first without working, then re-watching it while making your bells. Do I need special equipment to attend? You’ll need a computer, tablet, or smartphone capable of joining a Zoom call.
