Classic T-Bone Truck Bed Extender

The Classic T-Bone Truck Bed Extender's unique curved design prevents damage to your kayak or canoe when going over steep or rocky terrain and boat launches. Adds up to 4 ft. of extension to the end of your truck bed allowing you to carry kayaks, canoes, lumber or other long items easily. The Classic T-Bone Truck Bed Extender by Boonedox is a hitch-mounted accessory designed to extend the usable length of a pickup truck bed by about 4 feet. It’s especially made for hauling long items like kayaks, canoes, lumber, or gear that overhangs the bed.  Key Features & Specs Feature Description Material Aircraft-grade aluminum (won’t rust).  Weight About 16 lbs.  Load Capacity Up to 300 lbs. Extension Length Adds ~48" beyond the truck bed.  Cross-bar width 60" wide.  Adjustment Height from top of hitch receiver to top of the extendee is adjustable between ~13.25" to ~19".  Design Curved design to prevent damage to boats/kayaks when loading off steep or rough terrain.  Color Options Orange and Lime (plus sometimes black). Securing the load: The “ears” (plastic parts) are not designed to handle the full strap loads. The strapping must go through the crossbar, not through those ears. Tensioning incorrectly could lead to breakage.  Legal/road safety: Overhangs sometimes are regulated (flags, lights). Extending cargo may require compliance with local road laws. Weight limits: Even though it supports 300 lb, that’s distributed weight. If concentrated loads or bouncing over rough terrain, the stress could be more.
