Clarks SYNC-2E Hydraulic Disc Brake Set – E-Bike Motor Cutoff – 2-Piston – Front/Rear

The Clarks SYNC-2E is a hydraulic disc brake system designed specifically for e-bikes, combining dependable stopping power with motor shut-off integration for added safety. It uses a 2-piston caliper tuned for smooth, controlled braking rather than abrupt on/off feel. Riders and shops choose the SYNC-2E when they need an e-bike-rated brake that works cleanly with motor systems, is easy to set up, and remains serviceable over time using mineral oil. Key Features • E-bike-specific hydraulic disc brake system • 2-piston calipers for smooth, modulated braking • Integrated motor shut-off via 2-pin male connector • Lever reach adjustment to fit different hand sizes • Self-adjusting pistons for consistent pad contact • Uses environmentally friendly mineral oil • Includes spare olives for hose length reduction Compatibility & Use Notes • Designed for e-bikes requiring motor cut-off integration • Front and rear brake set included • Compatible with International Standard and Post Mount frames/forks • Supplied for 180mm front / 160mm rear rotor configurations • Hose lengths: 850mm (front) / 1750mm (rear) • Uses Clarks Pad ID 3 • Requires compatible motor system with 2-pin cut-off input Service / Ownership Context Mineral oil systems are low maintenance and less corrosive than DOT fluid but should not be mixed with other brake fluids. Hose shortening requires proper installation of new olives and a full bleed. Motor cut-off wiring should be routed carefully to avoid strain or interference during steering and suspension movement. Fit & Use Signals • A good fit for e-bikes that require brake-activated motor shut-off • Commonly chosen for commuter, cargo, and utility e-bikes • Works well for riders who want predictable braking over outright bite • Not ideal for riders seeking high-end downhill brake power • Not the right choice for non-e-bikes or systems without motor cut-off compatibility
