Clap Back No Chill(i)-Lime 1L is a chili-and-lime-flavored dessert wine from Moldova, bottled at 18% ABV (36 proof) in a 1-liter format. This unconventional expression merges the sweet, full-bodied character of Moldovan dessert wine with a bold one-two punch of citrus brightness and lingering chili pepper spice. Quick Facts: ABV: 18%  |  Origin: Moldova  |  Style: Flavored Dessert Wine  |  Size: 1L Production & Heritage Moldova sits at the same latitude as Burgundy and has one of the highest vineyard-density-to-land-area ratios of any country on earth, with a winemaking tradition stretching back over 5,000 years. Clap Back No Chill(i)-Lime draws on that heritage, starting with a base dessert wine and infusing it with natural chili pepper and lime flavors. The result is a product that straddles the line between traditional sweet wine and a modern flavored beverage, leaning into a trend of spice-forward, cocktail-ready wines designed for adventurous drinkers. Tasting Notes Aroma: Fresh lime zest leads the nose, followed by a subtle undercurrent of ripe stone fruit and a faint prickle of chili heat. There is also a light floral sweetness typical of Moldovan dessert wines. Taste: The entry is sweet and citrus-forward, with bright lime flavor hitting the palate immediately. At mid-palate the dessert wine's residual sugar provides a honeyed richness, while the chili component builds gradually, delivering a warm, peppery tingle that intensifies toward the peak. Finish: Medium in length with a lingering chili warmth that slowly fades alongside a tart lime echo. The sweetness recedes cleanly, leaving a pleasantly spicy, dry-edged close. How to Drink No Chill(i)-Lime Serve well-chilled on its own as a dessert sipper, or pour over crushed ice for a refreshing warm-weather drink. It works in a Spicy Paloma riff, replacing the grapefruit soda with this wine for built-in heat and sweetness. Try it in a Chili-Lime Spritz topped with soda water and a lime wheel for a low-proof aperitif. It also shines in a Frozen Wine Margarita, blended with ice and a splash of triple sec to amplify the citrus-chili profile.
