Avocado City Bed Frame - Without Headboard

City Bed Frame - Without Headboard Crafted in our woodshops, the City Bed Frame is a testament to superior craftsmanship and sustainable design. Constructed from solid FSC-certified North American timber, our platform bed frame combines strength with elegance, featuring softly rounded corners for safety and style. The sturdy wood slats, edged with organic cotton, ensure a squeak-free experience, while the low-profile design opens up your room with a modern aesthetic. Choose from natural blonde woods or rich, solid American walnut to suit your décor. Assembly is tool-free. For added impact, add a solid wood headboard. Complete your bedroom ensemble with matching City Nightstands.  THE PLATFORM BED THAT UNITES QUALITY WITH AFFORDABILITY In a world where so much furniture is produced in distant, opaque factories, often lacking in quality and ethical labor practices, Avocado stands apart. Our furniture is a product of pride, meticulously crafted in our FSC® certified (C156318) woodshops. At Avocado, state-of-the-art facilities and premium materials meet the hands of skilled woodworkers, infusing each piece with understated elegance, unwavering durability, and timeless design. These values align seamlessly with our commitment to sustainability, making every piece a step forward.   SOLID WOOD FROM NORTH AMERICA We craft our City Bed Frame with natural beech and alder blonde woods or rich, solid walnut from FSC® certified sources in North America. No MDF or veneers are used on our platform bed frame, ensuring durability and timeless beauty for years. SPACE-SAVING, MODERN DESIGN The low-profile design makes it ideal for smaller spaces and apartments with appropriate support for even taller and heavier pillow-top and box-top mattress designs. And because it's a platform bed frame, no foundation is needed — saving money and offering a modern aesthetic, EASY ASSEMBLY, NO SQUEAKS Assembly is a snap: rails lock into finger joints while the legs pull the corners tightly together without additional hardware or tools. Even slats gently tuck into place with new organic cotton ribbing to minimize wood squeaks. ELEGANTLY DESIGNED  The City Bed Frame features elegantly curved corners on the headboard and gently rounded edges on the front of the frame, softening the design and enhancing safety. Raised slats ensure your mattress sits on top of the frame, making it easier to rotate your mattress and change sheets, without sacrificing the appeal of the design. ADD A NIGHTSTAND OR ADJUSTABLE BASE Our City Bed Frame pairs beautifully with our City Nightstand. Also crafted with solid North American hardwood, the two pieces perfectly complement one another. You can even add an Eco Adjustable Base that elegantly rests on top of the slats! Climate Neutral Certified As a Climate Neutral Certified company since 2019, we've measured Avocado's annual cradle-to-consumer emissions, offset them by investing in climate change solutions, and started taking real action to reduce our emissions. We also recognize our offsets and reductions aren't enough. Solving climate change will require systemic solutions. That's why, through our partnerships with Ceres and the American Sustainable Business Network, we also advocate for state and federal policies that support equitable solutions to the climate crisis. Learn more about our initiatives. Project Zero Waste We're proud to be certified by UL Solutions for a landfill diversion rate of 85%. That means only 15% of our manufacturing waste ends up in the landfill — we upcycle or recycle the rest. Since we began Project Zero Waste in 2020, we've been a pioneer in the space, increasing our waste diversion rate by 33%. We are the first mattress and bedding company to achieve this. But we aren't done yet. Our goal is at least a 90% diversion rate. Read more about Project Zero Waste. Made in North America Our City Bed Frame is made in our FSC® certified woodshops in Los Angeles, California, and Tecate, Mexico, where sustainability and social responsibility standards are high. California Residents We operate an FSC®-certified (C156138) woodshop — in a facility completely separate from our mattress factory — which produces wood dust. Read California's required Proposition 65 warning for wood dust.
