4 Day Painting Workshop December 8-12 Learn how to bring to life wildlife and landscapes, from concept to finished painting. Taught at the breathtaking Circle Z Ranch in Arizona. Our all-inclusive Arizona dude ranch vacations are memorable experiences for our guests. Our historic ranch is nestled in Southern Arizona’s Sky Islands, known for its vast grasslands and vaulting mountain ranges. Guided by expert wranglers, you will explore trails across thousands of acres ­so scenic they’ve been the setting for many Western movies. Back at the ranch you can partake in other outdoor activities or join guests, fireside, in our colorful and spacious lodge. Meals are cooked from scratch using locally grown ingredients. Learn how to create a compelling composition. How to bring life and emotion to your subject matter. Drawing out your idea on canvas. The initial block-in with oil paint. Adding the detail, one brush stroke at a time. Both in-studio painting and plein air painting. Personalized and 1-on-1 instruction with James. Art business lectures. This course will be taught in oils. Students will be responsible for bringing their own supplies. A supply list will be provided. A detailed daily itinerary will be provided soon.
