Cinnamon Ceylon (Ground)

Delicate, sweet ground cinnamon with subtle spice and health benefits. Ground Ceylon cinnamon, known as true cinnamon, offers a gentle sweetness and mild spice, making it ideal for a wide range of dishes. Unlike cassia cinnamon, it’s lower in coumarin, making it safer for everyday use. Packed with antioxidants, this cinnamon supports heart health and has anti-inflammatory properties. Perfect for sprinkling on oatmeal, adding to baked goods, or enhancing savory stews and curries. Details: Certified organic. Origin Sri Lanka. Note 9/18/2024: Earlier this month, a Consumer Reports article came out regarding high levels of lead in cinnamon from many store-brands. At Gneiss Spice, each harvest of cinnamon is tested for heavy metals in an accredited food-safety lab. The current lead level is 0.38 ppm for Cassia Cinnamon and 0.56 ppm for Ceylon Cinnamon. These results are significantly below the FDA limit of 3 ppm. Like Ceylon Cinnamon? Try these: Pumpkin Pie: A warm blend featuring cinnamon, perfect for fall baking and desserts.
