Cinelli Pressure ADR Frameset

The Cinelli Pressure ADR Frameset is what happens when a marque with over seven decades of road racing DNA applies that knowledge to the realities of modern riding — not just race day, but everything that comes before and after it. Milan-based Cinelli has shaped the language of road cycling since 1948, and the Pressure ADR represents that lineage channelled into a carbon frameset built for riders who measure their weeks in kilometres rather than podium appearances. Race geometry, race-derived stiffness, but a carbon lay-up considered enough to handle the hours that most race bikes won't ask of you. The frame is built around a Columbus carbon monocoque construction — meaning the tube profiles, wall thicknesses, and junction geometry are engineered together as a unified structure, not a collection of separate tubes joined under pressure. That distinction matters on the road. A monocoque frame transfers power without the flex points that assembled construction introduces, and it allows the designer to tune compliance and stiffness into specific zones of the frameset rather than accepting whatever a tube junction gives you. The result is a frame that sits in the right position for long efforts — stiff at the bottom bracket where your watts go in, measured through the rear triangle where rough tarmac tries to take them back. Flat-mount disc brakes front and rear, 12mm through-axles at both ends, and fully integrated internal cable routing complete the picture of a frameset designed for how serious riders actually build bikes in 2024. The through-axle standard keeps wheel tracking consistent under hard cornering loads, the flat-mount interface suits the current generation of hydraulic groupsets from every major manufacturer, and clean internal routing means the Pressure ADR accommodates mechanical or wireless electronic systems without visual compromise. Two colourways — Sun Faded Laser Blue and Midnight Scream — offer a choice between faded-out understatement and something darker and more deliberate. Both suit the frame's character. At the bottom bracket, you get efficient power transfer. Through the rear stays, the lay-up is tuned to absorb road chatter without deadening the feedback that tells you what the surface is doing under your tyres. Through-Axle Precision at Both Ends: The 12mm through-axle standard front and rear isn't just a stiffness upgrade over quick-release — it changes how the wheel interacts with the dropout under braking and cornering load. Wheel tracking stays consistent when you're carrying speed into a corner and braking late, which matters whether you're descending a col or navigating a fast group ride. Flat-Mount Disc Interface: Flat-mount is the current standard for a reason — it positions the calliper closer to the frame, reduces the lever arm that generates unwanted flex under braking, and keeps the overall package compact and clean. The Pressure ADR's flat-mount setup is compatible with the full range of current hydraulic disc groupsets, giving you flexibility when speccing the build. Integrated Internal Cable Routing: Fully internal routing is as much a functional decision as an aesthetic one. Cables and hoses routed through the frame are protected from road debris and weather, and the cockpit stays clean regardless of how you build the bike up. The Pressure ADR's routing is designed to accommodate both traditional mechanical cables and the hydraulic hose runs of electronic hydraulic systems without modification. Race Geometry, Endurance Intent: The Pressure ADR sits in the territory between a pure race frame and an endurance tourer — geometry that puts you in an aggressive, efficient position, but a carbon lay-up intended to make five-hour days manageable rather than punishing. For riders who train seriously and race occasionally, that balance is often more useful than either extreme. Final Take The Cinelli Pressure ADR is built for the rider who trains with purpose, rides long, and wants a road frameset that can anchor a serious build without compromise on handling or durability. It suits the committed amateur who covers real distance on real roads — someone who understands what a monocoque Columbus carbon frame means in practice, and who wants Italian heritage backed by modern standards. This is a frameset you build once and ride hard for years.
