Soon Hari Apple Mango Soju

Soonhari Apple Mango Soju 375mL takes the tropical side of flavored soju and gives it more depth than a simple mango expression. Apple and mango form the core, but the profile moves through apricot, honey, mint, apple pie, and citrus, giving it a warmer and more layered character than most fruit-driven sojus. At 12% ABV, it stays light enough to serve ice-cold and share. Process & Profile Produced in Korea by LOTTE Chilsung Beverage, Soonhari Apple Mango is made from a neutral spirit distilled from grain and tapioca, combined with water, high-fructose corn syrup, citric acid, and apple-mango flavoring. The current U.S. expression is bottled at 12% ABV in a 375mL bottle and is labeled gluten-free. Soonhari’s production follows a modern flavored-soju approach: raw materials are fermented and distilled into a clean spirit, diluted with activated carbon-filtered water, and then flavored to create the final fruit profile. That lighter base is important here because it lets the apple-mango combination stay at the center rather than competing with a heavy spirit character. On the nose, apricot and honey stand out first, making the aroma softer and rounder than the name alone suggests. On the palate, apple and mango form the foundation, followed by lighter touches of mint, apple pie, and citrus. The honeyed fruit gives it sweetness, while the mint and citrus provide enough lift to keep the profile from becoming overly heavy. The finish is smooth and gently sweet, with lingering tropical fruit and a light citrus freshness rather than noticeable alcohol heat. Apple Mango also has an interesting history within the Soonhari lineup. LOTTE originally launched it in March 2020 as an export-focused expression, following Strawberry, Blueberry, and Yogurt. The company developed the flavor after overseas distributors requested a new fruit expression and conducted local tasting tests to refine the apple-mango sweetness. Initial shipments went to Australia, Thailand, Laos, and other Southeast Asian markets. That export-first origin helps explain why Soonhari Apple Mango feels particularly international in style. Rather than simply reproducing a traditional Korean fruit profile, it was specifically developed around overseas demand for sweeter, tropical-flavored alcoholic drinks. Today it remains part of Soonhari’s core flavored-soju range in the U.S. Serve it well chilled, straight from the bottle or poured into small soju glasses. Soonhari specifically recommends pairing Apple Mango with savory pancakes, where the tropical sweetness and citrus notes contrast nicely with a salty, crispy dish.
