Chroma Trinity

Chroma Sky Portal 2.1 Circadian-Aligning Desk Lamp Most indoor lighting wrecks focus and sleep with harsh blue spikes and dim output. The Sky Portal 2.1 delivers zero-flicker, circadian-aligned White light by day, and Deep Amber with 660nm red by night – giving your biology exactly what it evolved to use, when it needs it. For daytime use, set the Sky Portal 2.1 to maximum brightness and dial it to 40-80% white while the sun is up. This invigorating light is engineered to stimulate OPN3, OPN4, and OPN5 - non-visual photoreceptors that help boost alertness, focus, and mood. As the sun begins to set, gradually shift the dial toward a deeper amber tone, ending with pure deep amber around sunset. This transition mimics the sun’s natural progression, helping your body wind down, increase melatonin production, and prepare for restorative sleep. After dark, DO NOT use the highly stimulating white channel, instead set the device to 100% Deep Amber and dim to a level that is comfortable. How does it work? The Sky Portal uses a custom-engineered white light channel that removes the harsh, eye-straining dark blue spike found in most indoor lighting. In its place, it delivers a spectrum rich in beneficial cyan (OPN4 stimulation) and violet (OPN5 & OPN3 stimulation) wavelengths, balanced with a touch of NIR. OPN3 & OPN5 are linked to mood regulation, hormonal balance, and mental clarity. OPN4, also known as melanopsin, plays a key role in regulating your circadian rhythm, boosting alertness, and supporting stable energy during the day. Together, these non-visual photoreceptors help you stay focused, resilient, and aligned with your body’s natural cycles. When set to 100% white at 10 inches, the Sky Portal produces well over 10,000 melanopic lux - enough to lift mood, sharpen focus, and help counteract the winter blues by simulating the biological effects of natural daylight. How soon will I notice a difference? Many people feel the effects of the Sky Portal immediately - especially in terms of energy, alertness, and mood. OPN4 (melanopsin) stimulation can begin shifting your circadian rhythm within the first few sessions, helping you feel more awake during the day and naturally ready for restful sleep at night. For those using the Sky Portal to combat seasonal dips in mood or focus, consistent daily use for 1–2 weeks is often enough to notice a significant lift. Longer-term benefits, like improved sleep quality and steadier daytime energy, build as your body adapts to a healthier light environment. The key is consistency - your biology responds best when it receives the right light cues every day. Outshining the Competition While the lighting industry has zero understanding of human biology, we created a tool that reconnects your workspace with a more natural light environment. Yes, but ONLY use the device set to 100% deep amber as the white channel is highly stimulating and will disrupt sleep if used after dark. How do I mount the Sky Portal? For maximum optionality, the Sky Portal is designed to be able to mount on any standard photography light mount. We also include a clamp style desk mount as shown in the images. Why would I choose the Chroma Sky Portal? The Chroma Sky Portal is designed based on the large set of research showcasing the positive effects of Opsin stimulating light on productivity, mood, and sleep regulation. OPN4 or Melanopsin is the start of the main pathway that controls sleep/wake response for a more effective "Day Shift" signal. Prioritize your mental and emotional health with the power of light. Elevate your mood, boost productivity, and improve your sleep quality by shifting your light environment. Why does Opsin simulating light promote a natural circadian rhythm? Cyan to Violet wavelengths of light stimulate opsin containing cells, which act as the main wakefulness/sleepiness controllers. These are the key wavelengths and photoreceptor pathways that when stimulated, promote alertness and circadian rhythm regularity. The Sky Portal uniquely promotes circadian and mental health through opsin stimulation, balanced with NIR and deep red light. Is this just a high powered SAD lamp? The Sky Portal is far more than a S.A.D. light. It is a portal connecting the interior of a building to a natural outdoor setting. The idea that S.A.D. is a condition that only affects a small segment of the population is misleading. Nearly all people feel and perform worse in poor light environments where their circadian rhythm is disrupted, we only give it a special name when these normal reactions cross a somewhat arbitrary threshold. Better light leads to a better life. We've custom tuned the white LEDs in this device to have no cyan gap and offer excellent opsin stimulation, we then balanced that stimulating white with a powerful and relaxing Deep Amber channel. What is the guarantee on the Sky Portal? We are confident that your experience with the Sky Portal will be nothing short of extraordinary. However, we understand that personal preferences may vary, and we want you to have complete peace of mind when you choose us to assist with your circadian rhythm. With our 100-day Satisfaction Guarantee, you can embark on your journey to enhanced well-being without hesitation. If, within the first few weeks of using your Sky Portal, you find that it doesn't align with your expectations or preferences, you have the option to return it to us. How long will it take to get my order? It depends on where you are. Orders processed here will take 3-7 business days to arrive. Overseas deliveries can take anywhere from 7-16 days. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email. Can I use my Sky Portal worldwide? Yes! The Sky Portal is compatible with both 110/120V and 220/240V (adapter not included). Is the Sky Portal portable? Can I travel with it? While technically you could, it was designed for a more permanent setup. If you are looking portable for circadian-aligned lighting solutions we recommend our Sky Portal Mini battery powered device. The Sky Portal Mini is made for travel, flexibility, and tight spaces. It gives you the same powerful circadian-supporting light as the full-size Sky Portal 2.1, but in a compact, portable form you can take anywhere. Use it in hotel rooms, at your desk, in your kitchen - anywhere you need better light but can’t set up a full rig. If you want full-room immersion at home, our Skylight floor standing lamp is an ideal solution for larger rooms.
