Chroma Technology SII 8nm Filter

Chroma Technology manufactures some of the highest quality, narrow-band spectral line filters for detecting ionized sulfur, oxygen, and H-alpha or H-beta and other elements. SII filters are useful for imaging nebulae and other objects which are rich in ionized sulfur. These very narrow passbands provide the precision and accuracy needed to ensure your spectral line of interest is transmitted with almost no unwanted wavelengths, thereby enhancing the contrast.  These filters have extremely durable, sputtered hard coatings using single substrates of the best glass, eliminating the need for laminations. These coatings can withstand humidity changes and extreme temperature fluxes and remain spectrally accurate in center wavelength (CWL) and bandpass adherence. All primary filter coatings are applied on the front surface and anti-reflection coatings on the rear surface to prevent ghosting and to maximize transmission.
