Chroma Red Portal Light

Chroma Red Portal Red & NIR Lamp A new kind of red light therapy, built for environments rather than small sessions, to help regulate stress under cognitive load, sharpen your focus, and keep your brain in flow state through hours of low-level exposure. Just place the Red Portal on your desk or mount it above your workstation, plug it in, and choose your preferred light setting. You can use it passively in the background while you work - no timers, no sessions. For cognitive support, set it to 100% NIR. For a circadian-friendly glow, blend in more deep red. The light accumulates its effects over time, so the more consistently you use it, the more benefits you’ll feel. This device brings your light enviornment one step closer to nature, reintroducing bioactive near infrared and deep red light to your room. The Red Portal’s 670nm deep red and 810nm near-infrared wavelengths were selected for their efficiency in reaching both surface and deeper tissues, supporting mitochondrial function in the brain and body. Unlike the Ironforge designed for 30-90sec bursts, the Red Portal is tuned for safe, accumulative exposure over many hours, letting your biology steadily absorb beneficial photons without interruption to your workflow. Some users notice an immediate shift in visual comfort and focus when working under the red/NIR light, especially when compared to harsh white or fluorescent light. Mitochondrial and stress-resilience benefits are accumulative and most people will feel a noticeable change in sustained focus, reduced fatigue, and more balanced energy within 2–4 weeks of consistent use. The key is consistency, letting the light “stack” in your biology over time. Precision Engineering The Chroma Red Portal is an ambient red and near-infrared lighting solution built for long-duration, low-intensity exposure that supports your biology while you work. Designed for desks, studios, and creative spaces, it delivers an adjustable blend of 670nm deep red and 810nm near-infrared for cognitive endurance, and stress resilience, all without disrupting your circadian rhythm. Its dual-channel design gives you control from visible red illumination for immersive lighting to 100% invisible NIR for color-sensitive tasks or shared workspaces. Low-power, wide-angle output is tuned for safe all-day accumulation rather than short, intense bursts, letting your cells steadily absorb beneficial photons over hours without eye strain or melatonin suppression. With a total power of 40W and an ambient spread equivalent to roughly half the intensity of an overcast day, the Red Portal fills your environment with steady, biologically coherent light that stacks benefits over time. A true flicker-free driver ensures stable, comfortable illumination at any brightness. Manual ratio and intensity adjustments let you fine-tune the experience to your space, task, and time of day. Whether you’re deep in flow state, working late without wrecking your sleep, or creating a fully optimized office alongside the Sky Portal, the Red Portal ensures your light environment fuels your focus and sustains your energy from the first task to the last. Outshining the Competition We took red light therapy out of the 20-minute session and built it directly into your work environment so you can fuel your brain, regulate stress, and stay locked in for hours without even thinking about it. Just place the Red Portal on your desk or mount it above your workstation, plug it in, and choose your preferred light setting. Is red light therapy proven to work? Thousands of peer-reviewed studies support the use of red and near-infrared light for promoting recovery, reducing discomfort, and supporting tissue repair. Red Portal uses the most researched wavelengths and delivers them at intensity levels consistent with what’s been shown to be most effective. Can I use the Red Portal after dark? Yes, that's one of its core strengths. The deep red light has minimal impact on melatonin production, making it ideal for early mornings, late nights, or anytime you want to stay productive without disrupting your sleep cycle. It gets dim enough for total circadian alignment, while still offering meaningful biological effects from red and near-infrared wavelengths. Is Red Portal safe for daily use? Yes, it’s built exactly for that. The Red Portal uses biologically safe wavelengths (670nm Deep Red and 810nm Near-Infrared) and a power density designed for long exposure without risk of overheating or eye strain. Unlike high-intensity red light panels that are meant for short bursts, the Red Portal’s output is tuned for passive, background use during work, study, or creative sessions. Does it replace my regular lighting? It’s best thought of as a layer in your lighting environment, not a full replacement, although works perfectly as a completely independent lamp for pre-sunrise and late night sessions. Its adjustable spectrum lets you choose between visible red light or invisible NIR, so it can work as both a subtle task light and a passive mitochondrial support tool when doing color sensitive work. How long will it take to get my order? It depends on where you are. Orders processed here will take 5-7 business days to arrive. Overseas deliveries can take anywhere from 7-16 days. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email. Can I use my Red Portal worldwide? Yes! The Red Portal is compatible with both 110/120 and 220/240V (adapter not included). Some LEDs are not lit up, is my device broken? Rest assured the device is working properly. Wavelengths beyond about 700 nanometers are invisible to the human eye, it's normal to not see any light from the LEDs in this range. This is by design as near infrared (NIR) light is the frequency range that penetrates deepest into the tissue to do their job. One way to verify complete function is using an inexpensive wall power meter like the "kill-a-watt" device, you should see around 210W of power draw. Why would I choose the Red Portal over the Sky Portal? It’s not about choosing as they serve different purposes, it’s about complementing. The Sky Portal is engineered for strong opsin targeted circadian entrainment, while the Red Portal is designed for extended all-day red and near infrared light therapy for stress regulation and brain support. Together, they form a fully optimized office lighting setup. One sets your rhythm and locks you in. The other supports and nourishes you through it.
