Christ In All Of Scripture - Volume 1 - Bible Study

Then he said to them, "These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures. Luke 24:44–45 You may have heard that all of Scripture points to Christ, but do you know what that means?  If you’re like many Christians, you might spend far more time in the New Testament than you do in the Old.  You’re not alone in feeling like the Old Testament is intimidating! It is full of laws about how to offer sacrifices, lengthy instructions about how to build things, prophecies that we find hard to understand, and lots and lots of hard-to-pronounce names. It can feel strange, confusing, and—dare we say—irrelevant for us as Christians. But these two testaments tell one story, and they are far more intertwined than we sometimes realize. That story begins in the Old Testament, and it contains numerous threads that run throughout and find their resolution in the New Testament. Because of this, we cannot fully appreciate the New Testament without also appreciating the Old—and vice versa. And standing at the center of this one story that unites both testaments is Jesus Christ.  He Himself is the main character and climax of the story begun in the Old Testament. For that reason, we can appropriately say that Jesus Christ is present in all of Scripture, not just a quarter of it. Christ in All of Scripture Volume 1 begins with a prep week that will give you the tools you need to be confident and successful in this study.  This volume contains a total of thirteen weeks.
