Chorigyne pendula is a rare, epiphytic plant belonging to the Cyclanthaceae family (the “Panama hat” family). Native exclusively to the wet, tropical rainforests of Costa Rica and Panama, this understory epiphyte is celebrated by botanists for its distinct pendent or drooping growth habit in the wild jungle canopy. This plant is in very few collections outside of a few select botanical gardens. Plants available are the size of the one in the image.
