The Chord Electronics BerTTi is a compact, fully balanced stereo power amplifier that brings Chord's advanced ULTIMA amplification technology to the Table Top range. Delivering 75 watts per channel into 8Ω, BerTTi combines substantial loudspeaker-driving capability with a compact chassis designed for high-performance systems where space is at a premium. Built around Chord's latest dual-feed-forward error-correction topology, BerTTi continuously monitors and corrects the signal before the output stage. Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, proprietary MOSFET output devices, modified power supplies, and a solid aluminum chassis complete a power amplifier designed to partner naturally with components such as Hugo TT 2. ULTIMA Amplifier Technology BerTTi incorporates Chord's next-generation ULTIMA dual-feed-forward error-correction topology, technology derived from the company's larger ULTIMA amplifiers. The system monitors the audio signal and applies correction before the output stage, helping maintain signal accuracy as the amplifier drives connected loudspeakers. BerTTi also uses Chord's custom-made MOSFET output devices and a high-frequency switch-mode power supply. 75 Watts Per Channel Despite its compact Table Top chassis, BerTTi delivers 75 W per channel into 8Ω. Its power architecture incorporates two modified power supplies, along with an additional auxiliary power rail for the front end. This provides additional voltage for driving Chord's proprietary MOSFET output devices and supports the amplifier's ability to handle dynamic musical demands. Balanced & Unbalanced Connectivity BerTTi provides both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA stereo inputs, making it easy to integrate with a variety of compatible preamplifiers and source components with variable analog output. Gold-plated loudspeaker terminals provide the connection to your speakers, while the amplifier's fully balanced architecture makes the balanced XLR connection a natural choice when used with suitably equipped components. Designed for Hugo TT 2 BerTTi is a natural amplification partner for the Chord Electronics Hugo TT 2, which can provide DAC and preamplifier functionality while BerTTi handles loudspeaker amplification. Adding the Hugo M Scaler creates Chord's compact three-component Table Top digital system: M Scaler for digital upscaling, Hugo TT 2 for digital-to-analog conversion and preamplification, and BerTTi for stereo power amplification. Compact Table Top Construction BerTTi measures just 59 × 235 × 256 mm and weighs 3.75 kg, allowing serious stereo amplification to fit into a relatively compact system.
