Chord 2yu

2YU Network bridge when combined with 2go The 2yu is a digital interface that connects with 2go to create a network bridge for use with a DAC, DAC-equipped device or the Hugo M Scaler.   DESCRIPTION 2yu is a digital interface that connects with 2go to create a network bridge for use with a DAC, DAC-equipped device or the Hugo M Scaler. 2yu connects directly to 2go to add TOSLINK optical S/PDIF, coaxial and BNC (both 75 ohms) digital outputs, plus a cleverly integrated USB-A output. 2yu boasts 2,000 MIPS (million instructions per second) of processing power, an integrated sample rate converter, plus a low-jitter audio phase lock loop. Highly flexible in its potential applications, 2go with 2yu is also ideal for installers wishing to create a discreet remote Roon streaming solution: the duo can be wired into an Ethernet port to provide streaming to a system in any room. Like 2go, 2yu is also hand-made in the UK using aircraft-grade aluminium and the same high-quality manufacturing processes inherent in all Chord Electronics products. Like the Hugo 2, 2yu features four polychromatic spherical controls governing output selection, power, mute and dim functions.   FEATURES Connect 2go to your choice of DAC Ultra-low jitter design Compact size ideal for multi-room home installations Micro USB powered   INCLUDED ACCESSORIES  2yu user manual  Safety instructions  Drawstring bag  5V 2A Switching Micro USB power supply  Type-A USB to Type-B USB cable  BNC to BNC cable  Optical cable REVIEW & AWARDS Chord 2yu review  "The 2go/2yu certainly doesn’t fit into any neat hi-fi category, but it’s a carefully considered and superbly specified piece of kit. Partnered with a suitably capable digital-to-analogue converter, this could be all the digital source you’ll ever need." - What Hi-Fi?    Chord Electronics 2go/2yu Network Bridge "Used with the Hugo 2, the 2go creates a very transportable digital music solution, but things really start to shine when you add on the 2yu, whether upstream of the Chord DAC, or DACs from other companies. Building on the Mojo/Poly pairing, this is an innovative – and slightly quirky – digital front-end for both playback and streaming, and one likely to be of interest beyond its use in an all-Chord set-up." -  Andrew Everard   Chord Electronics 2go + 2yu "The 2go streamer/server and 2yu bridge are the logical choices for those who want to add streaming capability to a Chord desktop system, not least because they allow Chord’s exceptionally transparent signal path to be preserved all the way from input to output. It’s a ‘no brainer’ for those who also already own a Hugo2 and 2go, 2yu adds desktop functionality for very little additional outlay. The decision becomes less clear for those outside the Chord ecosystem. Quality streamers exist at the combined price point of 2go and 2yu, some of which are simpler to operate but don’t provide as much flexibility. User interface and features aside, I’d be surprised if many deliver music with the pace and precision of the Chord pairing." -  Richard Barclay   TECHNICAL SPEC Compatibility: In order for 2yu to inherit streaming/music transport capabilities or function as an audio interface, a connection with 2go is required.
