Chocolate Paisley

Stand in solidarity with Kashmir by purchasing Chocolate Paisley with 100% profits donated to providing emergency relief in Kashmir. Introducing Chocolate Paisley, in a rich cocoa brown hue, reimagined with a delicate tan floral border and swirling paisley motifs that dance across the fabric. The paisley motif has long been woven into the cultural fabric of Kashmir. With its curved, droplet-like form, the design merges elements of a floral spray and a cypress tree, symbols of life and eternity rooted in Persian influence. In Kashmir, this motif took on new life through the art of pashmina weaving, becoming a staple of intricate shawls and cultural heirlooms, passed down through generations and worn during life’s most meaningful moments.  With VELA’s paisley collection, we’re honoring the rich history and origins of this motif, while also recognizing the ongoing occupation of Kashmir and the resilience of its people. With this Boteh-inspired pattern, we aim to pay tribute to the artistry, identity, and enduring spirit of the region.
