Why Grow Bhut Jolokia Chocolate Ghost Peppers? These chocolate-brown pods (3" long and 1" wide) mature from green to a deep, earthy hue, boasting rough, dented skin that hints at their intense heat. Unlike its name suggests, this pepper doesn’t taste like candy-instead, it delivers a complex, smoky-sweet flavor that elevates salsas, hot sauces, and spicy dishes to legendary status. Growing Your Ghost Peppers Germination Tip: For best results, soak seeds overnight before planting. Start indoors 8 weeks before transplanting, sowing ¼" deep in sterile soil. Maintain 80-85°F bottom heat, bright light, and consistent moisture. Germination takes 14-21 days. Patience is key! Once seedlings develop 6 true leaves, transplant them into rich soil (30" apart) or containers. These Capsicum chinense plants thrive with attentive care, rewarding you with a bountiful harvest in 110 days. Warning: Handle with Extreme Caution These peppers are EXTREMELY HOT. Always wear gloves, eye protection, and a mask when handling seeds or pods. Avoid touching your face, and wash hands thoroughly after contact. What’s Included?
