Hawaiian Chocolate Bar – 50% and 70% Cacao

Hawaiian Chocolate Bar -  Indulge in a chocolate experience like no other with Kokoleka Lani Farms, where a soap company has dared to create the world's best chocolate. Let us share the fascinating journey that led to this extraordinary creation. Originating in Holualoa, we established Kokoleka Lani Farms, named after 'chocolate' in Hawaiian, alongside our soap company. What started with 200 cacao trees has flourished into 1500, accompanied by an additional 300 coffee trees. In 2005, Kona Natural Soap was born, and a serendipitous discovery revealed that aspects of the chocolate-making process complemented our soaps, enriching them with natural colors, scents, and exfoliants. This revelation led to the creation of nine distinct chocolate soaps in our collection. While we had always grown and processed chocolate at our farm, it wasn't until 2018 that we embarked on crafting our own chocolate bar. With the expertise of a fermenter and confectioner, we meticulously processed our award-winning beans, resulting in the introduction of the Kokoleka Lani Chocolate Bar in the same year. In 2019, we were honored with the prestigious "Best in World" chocolate award at the Salon Du Chocolat competition. About the Product: Kokoleka Lani Chocolate is truly unique, featuring award-winning beans of an Upper Amazon Trinitario/Forestero hybrid exclusive to Hawaii Island. Our meticulous process begins with carefully fermenting beans in elevated wine casks, ensuring optimal temperature control with added wine yeast if necessary. Small-batch roasting prevents over-roasting or scorching, followed by a 48-hour grinding process in stone malingers, resulting in a velvety smooth texture—unlike commercial chocolate that may have unbalanced textures. The chocolate liquor is then expertly tempered with cane sugar and molded into either a 50% or 70% cacao chocolate bar. The 50% variant includes a powdered milk product. When you savor a bar of Kokoleka Lani Farms dark chocolate, embrace the experience. Let the piece melt on your palate, inhaling the rich aroma and allowing the flavors to captivate your senses. Break it open and relish the moment, as if a sommelier is presenting you with a fine red wine. Enjoy. Each 2.2 oz Hawaiian Chocolate Bar is a masterpiece, inviting you to savor the exceptional craftsmanship and unparalleled flavor.
