Chippewa Thunderstruck 9" Composite Toe Waterproof Logger (TH1020) – the non-insulated version in charcoal black. Frequently Asked Questions What kind of toe does the TH1024 have? A nano composite safety toe that meets ASTM F2413 — lightweight, non-metallic protection with a roomier toe box than a traditional steel toe. Is the TH1024 waterproof and insulated? Yes to both — a waterproof breathable membrane with full-grain leather keeps feet dry, and 400g of 3M Thinsulate™ keeps them warm in cold conditions. Can the Thunderstruck TH1024 be resoled? Yes — its Goodyear® leather welt construction is built to make resoling easy, extending the boot's working life season after season. How does the TH1024 compare to the other Thunderstruck 9" loggers? All share the same waterproof 9" logger platform; the TH1024 adds 400g insulation for cold weather (walnut brown), while the TH1022 (walnut) and TH1020 (charcoal black) are non-insulated options for milder conditions.
