Guardians of Authority: Chinese Soldiers in Tiananmen Square

This compelling photograph captures a moment in Tiananmen Square where a Chinese soldier, clad in distinctive green and red military fatigues, gazes quizzically at the camera. His expression hints at a blend of curiosity and vigilance, underscoring the role of military presence in a nation where authority and order are tightly managed. In the background, his partner stands at attention, adorned with multiple lapel ornaments symbolizing rank and service.
