Chimaera

The chimaera is one of the oldest mythological creatures.  She has a lionness head, a goat's body and a snake tail.  She breathes fire.  This is her after the fire, smoking and lounging around the den.  She comes down in modern language as a way of describing a mash-up of ideas. The Details: Each one of these whimsical pins and earrings are hand-painted by me, Robin Senour, so there are no two alike. For me, art is communication. I created this little work of art, but the conversation between artist and viewer is complete when someone owns it. The clear material I chose to paint on is durable and easy to bend to my will. I have my very own laser that gives me the freedom to create any shape that I can think of. I love color. Finding wonderful color combinations drives me from one piece to the next. I paint them until they say, “I’m done!” If you are pin challenged, you can have a complimentary stand that will clip on the pinback, just indicate in your special instructions. It’s a little work of art, there are lots of ways to display it.
