Firekracker is Nutkrack’s spicy flavor pecan, made exactly the same way they make their classic Nutkrack, with five chili powders added. Think a 2 on a 4-chili scale, with a nice, slow-building, midwestern-style heat. Nutkrack handcrafts every small batch in Madison, Wisconsin, using a unique process that enhances the buttery goodness of natural, nutritious American pecans. Nutkrack strives to keep things simple, focusing on the creation and delivery of perfectly caramelized pecans. This is rooted in great ingredients and processes. While doing research for Nutkrack, Chef Eric ate his way through as many candied pecans as he could find over the inter-webs. While many were very tasty, what he often found missing was the true, complex flavor of the pecan. He found that candied pecans on the whole were overly sweet and under roasted, and set out to fix that. Nutkrack desires to honor the perfection of the humble pecan.
