Chicken Dad Silhouette

He didn't plan on caring this much. He built the coop but somewhere between the hardware cloth runs and the first predator scare and the morning he caught himself doing a headcount before he'd had a single sip of coffee, something shifted. He knows which hen is broody. He knows who started the drama in the east nesting box. He'd never say they're his favorites, that would be ridiculous, but he's out there every morning without being asked and every evening without being reminded and the flock knows exactly who he is when he comes through that gate. He built the coop. The chickens know he's Dad!
