The plate itself can be hand-washed to remove dust and debris (avoid submerging in water).   How to Use: Adjustable Height: Set the height of the plate with the yellow legs so it nearly touches the backs of the chicks. Adjust the height as the chicks grow to maintain optimal warmth. Temperature Management: The plate feels warm but not hot. Chicks can move away if they get too warm, so ensure they have enough space to move around. Indicator Lights: When plugged directly into an outlet, the red light stays on continuously. When connected to a Heating Plate Temperature Controller, the light blinks based on temperature settings, with a slow blink indicating the minimum and a faster blink indicating the maximum.
