Chev Pinot Noir 2019

Critical Acclaim: 94 pts Jeb Dunnuck; 93 pts James Suckling; 92 pts Vinous; 91 pts Wine Spectator.  Winemaker's Tasting Notes: On the nose, boysenberry and cherry with light pastry cobbler and gentle aromas of savory spice, aged black tea and vanilla bean. In the mouth, Black cherry and juicy red plum intertwined with fresh earth and faint tobacco leaf. A seductive broad texture with vibrant acidity and a silky soft mouthfeel, followed by a suede finish with an earthy characteristic and a balancing high tone. Well-rounded with subtle, finely integrated tannins. Recommended Drinking Age: Three to five years after release although will age gracefully over the next 10 years when properly cellared. Should you wish to enjoy sooner, we recommend decanting for two to three hours. "A deep and electric ruby hue, the 2019 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley is ripe with pure classic aromas of wild cherry, cola spice, and sweet herbs. Medium-bodied, it delivers super-fine tannins, freshness, and purity as well as attractive ripe fruit raspberry, leather, and warming root spice, and it has elegance and a graceful feel without being heavy. Drink 2023-2032."- Jeb Dunnuck.  "This is a pretty nose of strawberries, oranges, plums and peaches, with a sprinkle of nutmeg and vanilla bean. It’s medium- to full-bodied with fine, sleek tannins. Delightful sweet spice and ripe, plush fruit. Excellent length."- James Suckling. "The 2019 Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley) is silky, elegant and refined right out of the gate. There's maybe a bit less exuberance than readers have come to expect from Michael Browne, but that is not a bad thing. The 2019 impresses with its total finesse. Crushed flowers, sweet red berry fruit, mint spice and blood orange build effortlessly in the glass. The 2019 is simply impeccable, and a real joy to taste."- Vinous.  "Fragrant and sweet, this lasts with heady scents of black blueberry skins in a terse, clean finish. There’s perfumed sweetness with a buzz of energy behind it."- Wine & Spirits.  Varietal: Pinot Noir.
