Chess Strategy Workbook: A Blueprint for Developing the Best Plan - Bardwick

Chess Strategy Workbook: A Blueprint for Developing the Best Plan is a large-format, fun, comprehensive workbook and instruction book for children and adults ranging from those with a basic chess foundation up to the above-average tournament player. Chess Strategy Workbook teaches you to be observant and take your time to discover the clues in chess positions, introducing many of the strategies used by chess masters in a way that is fun and easy to understand. Learn how to use the different types of chess advantages (king safety, material, piece activity, and pawn structure) to correctly evaluate the position in order to select the best move. Basic strategies for the opening, middlegame, and endgame, are covered in detail as well as pitfalls to avoid and how to think during the game. Two hundred problems with a comprehensive answer key are given at two skill levels: Basset Hound (novice to intermediate) and Chess Detective (intermediate to advanced). Many average chess players struggle to find a solid strategy for chess improvement short of compiling a daunting stack of 20 chess books, and then trying to find time to read them! Well there's a new book just out that I must tell you about. It may very well save you hours upon hours of study time depending on your current level of well-built or fragmented knowledge. If you're like me, you don't have hours of extra time to waste, so you search reviews for advice. There are no magic methods to improving at chess, but there are many that are far superior. You have to research and make your best decision about what books, dvds, and computer/online resources to use. To stay motivated, and fuel your excitement about improving at chess, you need to see some improvement. And for intermediate players it can be a real puzzle where to go next.
