"Cherry Velvet" is a cut-flower rose bred by Jan Spek Rozen (Netherlands). It grows upright and vigorously to 80–120 cm tall, bearing cup-shaped blooms around 10 cm in diameter. The flowers are deep cherry red or purplish-red (darker in cool conditions), with a unique velvety texture, ruffled outer petals, and a tight "heart" effect. They have a light old rose fragrance with subtle lemon notes, last 7–10 days as cut flowers.
