Cherimoya

Fun Fact: Cherimoya is considered an ancient food from the Incas in South America. Cherimoya, scientifically known as Annona cherimoya, is native to Bolivia, Peru, Chile, Ecuador, and Colombia. At iHeartFruitBox, we primarily source our Cherimoya from Chile, California, & Florida. Also known as Custard Apple, this creamy fruit offers a tantalizing combination of tropical flavors such as bananas, coconuts, papaya, mango, and pineapple when perfectly ripe. Some even dub this tree the "tree of ice cream" due to its sweet, creamy flavor. The fragrant, ivory-colored flesh boasts a custard-like texture, but it's essential to note that the seeds are not edible. Curious about its seasonal availability? Dive into our SEASONAL GUIDE.
