Chenille Needles - Richard Hemming & Sons

Chenille needles are a specialized type of needle designed for embroidery, needlepoint, and various other needlework projects. These needles are characterized by their large, elongated eye and sharp, tapered point, making them ideal for working with thicker threads or yarns, such as chenille or wool. Available in a wide range of sizes, chenille needles cater to the diverse needs of crafters and needleworkers, ensuring precision and ease of use. The generous eye size of chenille needles allows for smooth and effortless threading, even when working with multiple strands or bulky fibers. This feature not only saves time but also reduces strain on the eyes and fingers, making for a more enjoyable crafting experience. The sharp, tapered point enables the needle to pierce through tightly woven fabrics and heavy materials with minimal resistance, ensuring clean, even stitches. Chenille needles are commonly used for a variety of needlework techniques, including embroidery, crewel work, smocking, ribbon embroidery, and wool appliqué. The sturdy construction of these needles makes them suitable for both delicate and heavy fabrics, allowing for versatility and adaptability across different projects. When selecting chenille needles, it is essential to consider the size and type of thread or yarn being used, as well as the fabric's thickness and weave. Smaller needles are ideal for finer threads and delicate fabrics, while larger needles work best with thicker fibers and heavy materials. To ensure optimal performance, it is recommended to use a needle size that corresponds to the specific requirements of your project.
