Deva - Vegan Chelated Iron with Added B-12 - 29mg

DEVA Nutrition is proud to introduce its amino acid chelated Iron supplement with added Vitamin B-12. Red blood cells (RBCs) are a component of our blood, which are responsible for carrying oxygen to the cells. When our body does not have enough healthy RBCs, doctors call this condition as anemia. There are many types of anemia, one of which is iron deficiency anemia. In this type of anemia, the body does not have enough iron hence it makes fewer than necessary RBCs or very small RBCs. A person with anemia may feel tired and weak and often has a decreased immunity with more susceptibility to infections. Iron supplements, particularly ferrous sulphate, have been widely used as dietary supplements; however there are common side effects like constipation and stomach upset. Under such circumstances, an amino acid chelated iron supplement seems to be a reasonable solution since it is better absorbed from the gastrointestinal system and does not adversely affect the inner lining of the gastrointestinal system. DEVA Vegan Iron tablets also contain Vitamin B12 which is an important factor in proper RBC formation. According to FDA, any food that provides 20% or more of daily value (DV) is considered high in that nutrient. DEVA Vegan Iron tablets contain 500% DV of Vitamin B12 per serving. Iron amino acid chelates are commonly used as food fortificants or therapeutic agents. In a study conducted in 2001, it was seen that iron amino acid chelates are completely soluble with high absorption when compared to ferrous sulphate. In another study, it was observed that when iron amino acid chelate was added to fortified breads, its absorption was about twice the absorption of ferrous sulfate. A review of many research studies conducted on iron amino acid chelates have demonstrated it to be a safe and effective source of iron for addressing iron deficiencies. Thus, it is a useful nutritional adjunct for individuals who wish to increase their intake of iron. Each bottle of DEVA Chelated Iron with Added B12 contains 90 tablets, with each tablet containing 29mg of Iron and 30mcg of Vitamin B12.
