Cheese - Brie de Meaux

DESCRIPTION Unlike our classic brie, this brie comes specifically from the town of Meaux, France.  It has a more distinct, farmstead flavor reminiscent of mushrooms and hay. Each artisanal slice has a buttery yet nutty flavor and a rich aroma which makes it a great addition to most cheese boards.  To learn more about this cheese click here!   ORIGIN France   MILK TYPE Cow   RAW MILK OR PASTEURIZED? Pasteurized   STORAGE TIPS Refrigerate preferably in its own drawer close to where most of the produce is kept.  After each time that you slice the cheese, re-wrap it with fresh plastic wrap to extend the shelf life.  While some chefs will freeze a slice of blue and then grate it over a salad before serving, Chef's Mandala doesn't recommend freezing cheeses in general.   PEOPLE WHO PURCHASED THIS ALSO PURCHASED Cheese Plate By Cheese Type - Mahon and St. Agur or Cashel Blue By Origin - Ossau Iraty and La Bonde d'Antan Pairings - pickled cauliflower, salami, crackers and carrot sticks.   SUBSTITUTES Brie or camembert   INGREDIENTS Cow's milk, salt, starter, animal rennet
