Chateau Des Graves Grand Vin de Bordeaux Graves Blanc

The 2020 Château des Graves Blanc is a sophisticated expression of the Graves appellation, produced by the Lamothe family who has managed the estate for over two centuries. This vintage is crafted from 100% Sémillon, a choice that distinguishes it from the more common Sauvignon-heavy blends of the region and highlights the estate’s commitment to organic and biodynamic viticulture. The result is a wine of significant texture and aromatic purity that reflects the unique gravel and clay-limestone soils of the village of Portets. In the glass, the wine presents a pale gold color with brilliant clarity. The aromatic profile is notably elegant, opening with a bouquet of orchard fruits such as ripe white peach and crisp yellow apple, layered with delicate floral notes of acacia and honeysuckle. There is a subtle waxiness characteristic of varietal Sémillon that provides an additional layer of complexity to the nose. On the palate, the 2020 vintage is soft and rich, showing a medium body with a beautifully rounded mouthfeel. This weight is balanced by a precise minerality and a persistent vein of light acidity that keeps the wine vibrant and refreshing. The finish is long and clean, echoing the floral and pit fruit notes found on the nose. 750mL
