Since gold fill is mechanically bonded instead of plated, the gold doesn't rub or flake off and has 100x more gold than gold plated. Gold filled is tarnish resistant and perfect for everyday wear, in fact the more you wear it the more it stays shiny as our skin "polishes" it and it can be worn in the shower and at the gym. It's also hypoallergenic and great for those with sensitive skin. Gold filled pieces are known to last for decades and are the best economical choice in the long run.  Know your metal ~ Gold vermeil made with a thick layer of gold that is thicker and more durable than regular gold plating. To be considered vermeil, the gold must be at least 10 karats and be applied over sterling silver. The thickness of the gold layer must be at least 2.5 microns, ensuring its longevity and resistance to wear. This process gives gold vermeil jewelry the appearance of solid gold at a more affordable price point, making it a popular choice for high-quality, everyday jewelry pieces.  Know your metal ~ Gold Plate is a process of plating base metals with 14k Gold for an affordable price point perfect for trendy/seasonal pieces. Avoid water to extend the life of your piece.
