Chaplin

Mr. Brainwash - Chaplin - Wall  A unique work by Mr. Brainwash, Chaplin measures 86,6x89 in., it is hand-signed by the artist and it was created in 2016. In the foreground, against a colourful background, the artist depicts one of the most recurring characters in his art: Charlie Chaplin. The protagonist of the work by Mr. Brainwash, Charlie Chaplin, is rendered in black and white using a stencil technique. Looking directly at the viewer, the comedian holds a bucket overflowing with red paint in one hand and a paint roller in the other.  To Chaplin's right, a red heart created by him dominates the background, which is full of colours, phrases and references to the artist's biography and poetics, as well as quotations from the main artists of Pop Art and Street Art.  Using a mixed technique and stencils, Mr. Brainwash works on a support of street signs, wooden panels, corrugated metal and a fibreglass brick wall. The original assemblage of different materials allows him to recreate an authentic effect, evoking the origin of urban art, born on walls, in public places, for free enjoyment. MR.
